Non-Work Shadowing STEM day
Many thanks to all the parents and carers who helped Year 8 students to secure a work shadowing placement. We hope that your young people enjoyed these experiences.
Not all students were able to secure a placement and these Year 8 students participated in an exciting STEM day during our in-school work shadowing program. The event was organised in collaboration with the SmallPeice Trust, renowned for their educational initiatives in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Working in teams of 5-6, the students were tasked with the challenge of creating, designing, and marketing a speaker. Throughout the day, they assumed different roles and responsibilities within their teams, fostering teamwork and leadership skills.
Culminating in a thrilling panel pitch, each team showcased their outstanding efforts and presented their innovative speaker designs. The students demonstrated exceptional creativity and produced inspiring outcomes that impressed everyone involved.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the Year 8 students for their fantastic work and commend their dedication to the STEM day.
