Geology rocks!
In this Unifrog Careers Profile James, a final year undergraduate student, gives us a glimpse of what it's like to pursue geology at university, and how he got in.
Fieldwork is one of the best parts of the degree to me. One of our trips was to Utah in the US, where we got to dig up fossils, make sketches of the landscapes, and really understand the environments that different rocks represent. Our fieldwork trips are where we really bond as a cohort."
He also explains the importance of having transferable skills in Excel and coding as this field is very data-driven, as well as how he handles group projects as a perfectionist.
