National Grid are recruiting their next cohort of apprentices

Who are we?

We’re an energy company and the largest electricity transmission and distribution business in the UK. We keep people connected and society moving, but it’s so much more than that.

Keeping millions plugged into the electricity they need is one part of our mission, the other, is using our technical skills, innovative thinking and passion for progress to drive a sustainable transformation for the energy sector – and for society.

And while we ensure that the power we need gets from its source to its destination, safely and efficiently, we’re also investing in smart ideas, new technologies and great people that will play a central role in our global transformation to greener energy.

Why start a career with National Grid?

We offer a range of apprenticeships, from commercial to engineering and IT & Digital, and we make it our mission to ensure the quality training is a priority. Which is why we offer world-class training as well as development opportunities throughout a career here, investing in our colleagues so that we can build a better future together in an environment where every voice matters and everyone can power the currents of change.

Apply here.

We know that everyone gives their best when they’re passionate about what they’re doing, so we offer mentorship and guidance to shape careers in a direction that’s right for the individual. There are hundreds of pathways here, but whatever they do, we want everyone to be themselves at work, and with many people to have stayed with us for upwards of twenty years, as well as being voted 22nd in the Best 100 Apprenticeship Employers to work for in Rate My Apprenticeship, we think this tells its own story.
