Year 8
Year 8 builds on core reading skills studied in Year 7 (AO1 and AO2), and begins to introduce comparison skills and elements of critical evaluation (AO3 and AO4). Students also begin to develop an appreciation of wider contextual influences through study of a wider range of texts from the 19th Century. There are also further opportunities to develop their creative written expression (AO5 and AO6).
