Where did they go?
After their studies at Notre Dame, our students go on to a very diverse selection of career pathways.
Some have a clear pathway requiring specific qualifications. Others have kept their options open and have taken opportunities for training or careers in a new direction.

Think about how many of the jobs listed you know about and how many of them you have never heard of before. What does this tell you about the breadth of choice in the job market?
Doug went straight into work after his GCSEs. He now works in Recruitment Workforce Management in Berlin. He says that the ability to analyse data is valuable in nearly all current jobs. He also says that empathy and people skills are vital.
Ellie is a Business Manager for a computer software company. She studied English at university. She went on to work in sales. She says that the ability to communicate clearly, networking and problem solving are valuable for roles like hers.
Charlotte has a passion for Maths and Spanish. She is studying a Masters in Scientific Computing in Germany. She really enjoyed studying science and foreign languages.
Studying in a foreign country was a bit scary at first, but she is amazed how quickly she has learnt German by living in the country.
John studied Environmental Science at university and is now an emergency planning advisor for the Environment Agency. He says that there are growing job opportunities in tackling climate change and implementing sustainable solutions.
He says that along with qualifications, you need 'soft skills' to work as part of a team.
Kieran did an Advanced Apprenticeship in Youth Work. Since then he has had a wide variety of roles.
Kieran talks about the values of being flexible and having transferrable skills that can be used in a wide variety of different roles. He also emphasises the importance of having a pass grade in English and Maths.
Jenna is an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner. She did a degree in Adult Nursing Sciences which led to a job at the N&N Hospital. She has carried on her studies part time to attain a Masters whilst continuing her job.
Jenna talks about the need to be organised and the ability to prioritise tasks. She valued doing a course with ongoing placements as this helped her decide what area she wished to specialise in.
Rebecca has had a very varied career. After a degree in MFL, she trained to be a teacher, then worked in homelessness and prisons and youth offending. She grew a passion for working with people who need extra support and is now the CEO of her own social enterprise organisation to give people life skills to prevent homelessness.
Rebecca explains that her role can be very challenging at times, so it is important to talk and share with colleagues. She believes that through experience you can develop the skills you need for a job. You just need the motivation to have a go.
After her A Levels, Hannah took a year out to gain experience working with animals. This enabled her to apply to the Royal Veterinary College and led to a variety of roles working as a Vet. She chose this role because she loves science and wanted a varied and challenging job.
Hannah explains that a major part of her role is talking to clients and the ability to do multi-tasking.
She stresses the importance of doing extra curricular activities that give you additional skills and experience that will enhance your c.v. and make you stand out from the competition.
